What does the starting price include?
It covers a single picture-book manuscript up to 1,500 words, structural planning, two line-edit rounds, and a final proofread. Illustration and cover design are quoted separately so each part of the project is priced honestly.
How long does a children's book take to write?
A 500–1,500 word picture book typically takes three to five weeks from brief to final draft. Chapter books for older children sit closer to eight to twelve weeks.
Who owns the story when we're finished?
You do, in full. We assign all copyright to you on final payment.
Is the process confidential?
Completely. A mutual NDA is signed before any work begins. Our name appears nowhere on the book.
What age bands do you write for?
0–5 (board books and picture books), 6–8 (early readers and illustrated chapter books), and 9–12 (middle grade). We flag early if your idea sits between bands.
